Sanders Chocolate had a 16 year run in the building and before Sanders, Stroh's ice cream was also a tenant. We are happy to carry on a local tradition and hope you enjoy our Mehlhose Ice Cream.

On an average weekday we were approached by the owner of Wyandotte's Sanders Ice Cream and Candy and were told The Sanders location was closing. We thought OMG... somebody needs to come up with a viable redo to keep the history of the location and provide a useful business to the 900 square foot space. We told a few people the idea of hot dogs and ice cream to make the location more of a full service location. We told them we would give them the idea and help if needed. .... "NO TAKERS" to the offer. So here we are with the idea and we hoping you come visit SIMPLY HOT DOGS AND ICE CREAM. Why the name SIMPLY? We can't be everything to everyone. We need to keep the business simple and focus on QUALITY. The best hot dogs made to our "DOTTE DOG" standards. The best "MEAN CUP OF JOE" Coffee blended to our specifications. Reviving the Downriver historic MELHOSE ICE CREAM COMPANY hand packed ice cream with origins dating back to 1875. SIMPLY HOT DOGS and ICE CREAM also prides itself on sourcing local suppliers preferably with historic roots.

Street parking is the first choice. On the street there is 2 hour parking throughout Wyandotte. There are also several other parking lots that are free off 1ST to the west between The Vault and Wyandotte Beer Company. Access thru the alley.
